PYONGYANG, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un has urged senior officials to fully display a high sense of responsibility and creativity, and the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance to follow through on the new strategic line of the Party which emphasizes economic development, the official media Korean Central News Agency (KNCA) reported on Wednesday.

Kim made the remarks at an enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on Tuesday afternoon, the KCNA said.

He stressed that main departments of the Party Central Committee should correctly set the key points in the guidance for implementing the party's policies, carry out all work in a responsible, active and creative manner in the party work.

He also said that formalism, expediency, subjectivism, self-protectionism, defeatism, party authority and bureaucratism chronic among leading officials and all sorts of other undesirable practices should be rooted out in the party's work.

The meeting discussed and approved "Implementation of the state budget for 2018 and on the state budget for 2019" to be presented to the 1st session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly set to be held on Thursday, the report added.

The meeting was presided over and guided by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the country, according to the report.

Present at the meeting were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, it said.
