RAMALLAH, March 20 (Xinhua) -- The Palestinian government on Wednesday called for international protection for the Palestinian people, after the killing of three Palestinians in the West Bank overnight.

In a statement, Yousef Al-Mahmoud, government spokesman, accused Israel of deliberately using excessive force to cause tense ground situation all the time.

An Israeli army force raided a house in West Bank the village of Abwein north of Ramallah on Tuesday night, killing a Palestinian man suspected of carrying out a deadly shooting and stabbing attack, Israel Radio reported.

A few hours later, two other Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces inside their car in the city of Nablus.
