MANILA, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- A landslide hit four vehicles travelling along a highway in Benguet province on Monday as super typhoon Ragasa barreled through the northern Philippines, killing a man and injuring seven others, local authorities said.
The 74-year-old man was pinned inside his vehicle when the landslide occurred on Monday afternoon in Benguet, a landlocked province located on the island of Luzon. He was rushed to a hospital in Baguio City but was declared dead on arrival.
Seven others sustained injuries from the disaster. They were all taken to local hospitals for treatment.
