BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's Ministry of Finance and Economy conducted a session on corporate income tax on Wednesday to enhance Bruneian corporate taxpayers' understanding of taxation.

The session also aimed to raise awareness of taxpayers' obligations and responsibilities in ensuring compliance with corporate income tax requirements.

During the briefing, the officers explained the fundamentals of tax assessment, the importance of timely filing of tax returns, and the computation of taxes in accordance with the Income Tax Act.

The initiative forms part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to strengthen tax compliance and promote greater public awareness of the significance of corporate taxes. ■
