CANBERRA, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Australia has voiced its regret over U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of the nuclear deal with Iran.

"Certainly we regret the decision of the U.S. and we encourage all parties to continue to comply with the deal and we certainly will do everything we can to support that," Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) on Wednesday.

Australia's Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said Thursday that the U.S. decision had "created uncertainty" for the future of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

On Tuesday, Trump announced the decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, also known as JCPOA, which agreed to lift crippling economic sanctions on Iran in return for its agreement to limit its sensitive nuclear activities and allow international inspectors access to its facilities.
